1. How do I apply?

On the Menu bar, click on AUDITONS/Packet. Print out all the files, fill out desired files, mail only the application with your check to the GYO address below:

2. How Much Does It Cost?

The Audition Fee is $25 and is non-refundable. Annual Tuition costs $590* per student, payable at the first rehersal. This includes tuition for the entire season, concert tickets and CDs for each of the concerts.

*Tutition may be made in 2-payments of $298, which are due on September 13, 2009 and November 15, 2009 respectively.

 

3. Are there any other costs or requirements?

Parents are required to volunteer with any aspect of the orchestra program they choose. If their schedules cannot accommodate this requirement, they can make a donation of $75 (due at 1st rehearsal) to the GYO instead. All parents are also expected to help in some way with the Silent Auctions prior to each concert.

 

4. If I Cannot Afford It, What Can I Do?

There are some scholarships available. Please check the box on the application form that asks if you are interested in a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on a need and occasionally on a merit basis. Both parent's current Federal and State tax returns are required and due with the application on or before the first rehersal.
