Our Mission

The mission of the Glendale Youth Orchestra is to provide qualified young musicians an environment in which to explore, comprehend, appreciate and develop a lasting interest in music in a quality setting.

As orchestra members,

  • They perform concerts of standard symphonic music at the Alex Theatre

  • They interact with students who share their interest in music

  • They learn the value of achievement, teamwork, and discipline

  • They work with top teaching professionals as coaches

  • They extend and enhance, though not replace their school music experience

  • They give back to their community

  • They serve as an example for their peers

  • They know the joy of accomplishment and the pride of a performance well done
