"...a marvel of youthful energy
and disciplined playing."

Welcome to the Glendale Youth Orchestra...
...a Premier L.A. Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, in the Youth Orchestra Mentorship Program (YOMP).
A non-profit organization located in Glendale, California, the Glendale Youth Orchestra has been providing dedicated young musicians an extraordinary opportunity to perform classical music in a formal orchestral setting for the last twenty-five years.
The GYO's mission is based on the belief that our young people have a better chance of succeeding in their world if they appreciate, as well as participate in, its rich artistic and cultural traditions.
The Glendale Youth Orchestra draws young musicians from the entire Los Angeles area.
Our players are students ranging from grade six through the first two years of college who have studied their instrument for a minimum of two years.
Musicians are required to participate in their school music programs and to take weekly private music instruction (if your school has no music program, this does not apply).
